This incredibly stylish silver-gilt tazza by Mappin and Webb was created by the famous makers in 1895. Originally made to contain fruit, sugared almonds or other such delicacies, this tazza has it all. From the rose edged rim, and the oval and cruciform pierceing, to the elaborate acanthus style decoration on the stem, to the beautiful pie-crust foot, this item oozes the late Victorian love of embellishment. The gilding is in extremely good condition throughout, with small items of wear comensurate with age. A delightful and highly decorative item to own.
